| Recipient Org: Description | Ashtead Tree Wardens is a newly-formed body of volunteers who have come together because the Tree Officer of Mole Valley and a councillor felt there was a need and opportunity for Ashtead residents to play a greater role in the administration of Tree Preservation Orders and the general welfare of trees, which are one of Ashtead's greatest assets. The group set up in July 2016 and has the support of 3 volunteers and a management committee of 3 members. The aims of the group are as follows: • To record & Monitor trees in Ashtead • To plant additional trees • To establish relationships with relevant authorities • To advise Ashtead Residents Association • To educate residents in tree affairs |
