Recipient Org: Description | West Horsley Good Companions Club is a voluntary organisation run by 12 volunteers and 10 committee members. The club was established in 1959 and is open to all West Horsley residents over 60 (25% are over 80). The club currently has 43 members and 40 regular attendees. The club meets monthly at West Horsley Village Hall and there is an annual subscription of £25. Each meeting has an ‘information time’ (forthcoming events, flu jab reminders, bus pass information etc) followed by entertainment (speakers, performances etc) and finishing with a tea. The club also organises outings for the elderly members. Most members are transported to and from meetings by volunteers. |
