Recipient Org: Description St Francis Church is located on the Balcombe Road in Horley. The Church hall is currently hired out four days per week to Bobtails Play group and each evening it is used by Guides, Brownies, Dance, Fitness, and sewing groups. The Church runs a Mums and Babes group on a Wednesday morning and a Messy Church and Messy Youth service once a month. Sunday school is run during Sunday morning services. St Francis’ Church and community hall is well-established, and the hall is cared for by volunteers. The Church has built up positive relationships with hall users over the years, and the use of the hall has expanded with the growth of Horley town. Employees of St Francis include the Church Rector and 1 self-employed domestic staff person. The Church’s activities are overseen by the District Church Council committee of 13 people. St Francis Church is under the umbrella of The Parochial Church Council (PCC) of The Ecclesiastical Parish Of Horley, along with St Bartholomew’s Church and St Wilfred’s Church. The PCC has 25 members.
