Recipient Org: Description Include.org (working name The Include Project [TIP]) is a newly registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (April 2018). The primary community project is The Include Choir which exists as an inclusive choir for people with and without communication and learning disabilities. Since May 2016, the Choir has run weekly rehearsals in Redhill every Wednesday from 7.30 – 9. Anyone can join the choir, regardless of musical ability, verbal communication skills, or cognitive ability. Members include people with mild to severe learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, visual and hearing impairments and physical disabilities. TIP aims to make the world more welcoming for people with understanding or speaking difficulties. Services provided include creative Inclusive Communication training, consultancy, activities and community projects which empower people with communication needs to help design and deliver services. All the services raise awareness of communication disability and train and enable participants to become more skilled communication partners. TIP has 4 Trustees and employs one part-time member of staff. It is supported by around 15 volunteers.
