The Cocoon Programme for young people (360G-CR-1000636)
Around two thirds of young people accessing domestic abuse services in Llanelli have mental health issues. The majority of these are severe. The grant will enable Llanelli Women's Aid to appoint a specialist mental health worker to support young people with mental health problems who are or have been involved with domestic abuse. This will include holistic individual, group and peer support for the young people and the training of staff and other professionals. As a result, the young people will cope better and make positive progress with their lives.
