Education & Community Care Legal Support & Youth Advocacy (West London) (360G-CR-706076)
Young people in crisis often experience a complex mix of problems such as: unstable housing, school exclusion, mental health problems and contact with the youth justice system. This grant will support the core work of Just for Kids Law by providing casework for young people in crisis. It will fund a solicitor to champion cases in which young people are not receiving the care they are entitled to. Each young person will also have access to an Advocate, offering practical and emotional support to solve issues such as homelessness. The work will help young people to unlock the statutory care they are entitled to, and to plan for a future in which they can cope and flourish.
