Oakhanger Methodist Church and the Oakhanger Project provides a community hall for community groups, services to the wider community working with both able bodied and disabled children, young people and families and a place for public worship as a united congregation with St Luke's hospice. The Church activities are aimed at reducing isolation and developing community cohesion whilst the Oakhanger Project aims to get teenagers and children involved in the outdoor activities developing key skills whilst also improving self confidence and self esteem with opportunities to undertake qualifications in kayaking and volunteering. The grant will be used towards new kitchen units and fixtures
