Flight Simulator Construction (360G-CheshireCF-A442391)

Air Cadets, 2375 (Neston) Squadron offer young people from all walks of life a chance to get active, learn new skills and make new friends in an inspirational and safe environment. The orgasation promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the RAF, provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life, encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship. The project will build a two seater Single Engine Plane flight simulator. It will be used to teach basic controls, instruments, airmanship and Radio Procedures to cadets so that they have a better understanding of their theory lessons and to maximise the training value when they go air-experience flying. Cadets become self-reliant and self-disciplined at an age when they might be expected to need adults to tell them what to do and how to behave. This results in them having the potential to be better citizens in the Neston Community and the wider world. The grant funding will be used to pay for some of the flight instrumentation, some of the external cockpit display equipment and the flight simulator software.
