Recipient Org: Description | The Phoenix Youth Project (PYP) is modern, forward thinking, engaging and exciting Youth Work Project. Working with marginalised and disadvantaged young people aged 8 -19 years old in the deprived areas of Cleator Moor and Frizington. We aim to; raise aspirations, develop positive behaviour, encourage healthy lifestyles and reduce crime, discriminatory and anti-social behaviour. This enables us to serve the social, recreational and emotional needs of the children and young people in the area as well as supporting the wider local community. We have a proven track record of delivering high quality youth work with youth led programme to raise aspirations, develop positive behaviour, encourage healthy lifestyles and reduce crime, discriminatory and anti-social behaviour. This enables us to serve the social, recreational and emotional needs of the children and young people in the area. We also appropriately challenge young people’s negative behaviours and provide personal and skills driven approach to our delivery. We are well embedded in our local community and are a true grass roots organisation. |
