Recipient Org: Description | Special Olympics Plymouth & District (SOPD) is a Branch of Special Olympics Great Britain (SOGB) SOGB is the ‘third arm’ of the Olympics organisation, it is dedicated to enhancing the lives of those with an Intellectual (Learning) Disability The club provides year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all with an intellectual disability giving them continuing opportunities to encourage fitness, commitment and discipline through sport. Provide quality coaching. Help athletes develop social skills, build friendships and through the interaction build team spirit. Encourage athletes to compete and participate for the fun of it. |
