Recipient Org: Description ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is here to support British soldiers, veterans and their dependants when they are in need. Service in the Armed Forces is often very physically demanding. Armed Forces personnel are expected to put their safety and their lives on the line in the Service of their country, and some experience life changing injuries as a result, but to them they are just doing their job. Our motto is “For Soldiers - For Life”, we give a lifetime of support to the men and women who have put everything on the line to defend us and our country. As the National Charity of the British Army, it is our responsibility to help those in need. Last year, we spent over £8.4 million on charitable activity directing £3.4 million towards helping 4,862 soldiers, veterans and their families who found themselves in need. We provided £3.2 million to 88 charities and organisations which deliver support on our behalf and £1.8 million towards other enabling support to members of the Army family.
