Recipient Org: Description PACT for Autism supports any person living life along the autistic spectrum, Including families and carers of Autistic children and young people, autistic adults and professionals dedicated to improving the lives and opportunities of the autistic community. No person requires a diagnosis to access our services which include. Two telephone support and information lines resourced by staff that have years of lived experience and understanding of spectrum conditions together with links to organisations and support networks for effective signposting. Support groups for families and professionals, including workshops developed by listening to the needs of individuals. Support group for Autistic adults ensuring support is reaching anyone travelling the autistic journey, at any stage of life. Play / support sessions for children / young people allowing safe, anxiety free play in an appropriate setting whilst offering support to families and carers. Annual trips for families to enjoy a day out. Linking with other organisations, local authorities and support networks to ensure a working together approach, to improve the lives of the autistic community whether in education, work, voluntary roles or needing access to benefits or appropriate mental / physical health needs. Improving understanding of neurodiversity conditions through our talks and training officer.
