Recipient Org: Description 1. To provide a safe and caring environment for people in recovery from mental health illnesses, to gain confidence and increase feelings of self-worth and self-esteem through peer mentored supportive work experience in the shop. This work experience delivered through educative processes to develop digital skills, verbal telephone communication and social skills, and use of mechanised and manual equipment. 2. To provide support to identify and develop aspirations for paid work beyond BCP by building on achievements in the shop and providing encouragement for involvement with BCP’s external activities such as the Colouring Café , Community Tree and promotional events. 3. To break down the barriers of mental illness within communities and the work force by developing an information service of local organisations that support people with their well-being and create awareness of these services to support and help prevent mental health crisis via the Essex Community Tree Network, that BCP has developed www.essexcommunitytree.net through local public promotions, talks and Council run events. 4. To inform and educate employers on managing mental health in the workplace through the design and delivery of bespoke workshops presented by people with lived experience.
