Recipient Org: Description Council for Voluntary Service Uttlesford (CVSU) is a charitable company with over 30 years experience of supporting the voluntary sector. We are very proud of the contribution the voluntary sector makes to the lives of people in Uttlesford and we work with both existing and new groups, providing a range of specialist services and advising on issues such as funding and governance. We work hard to ensure the voluntary sector has the strength and resilience to thrive in a changing and challenging environment. CVSU also represents the sector at a strategic level and through engagement , partnership and collaboration we ensure the sectors influence is strengthened and that diverse voices are heard within all sectors. When we identify a need in the community or gaps in service provision we develop community projects to address these issues. Our projects include; various Community Builder initiatives, Men's Sheds, Dementia Cafe, Digital Inclusion and Friendship Dogs linked to loneliness & Isolation. We also piloted in 2018 the Green Matters gardening project..
