Recipient Org: Description Berden is a small village in Essex, but on the Herts/Essex borders. Berden Parish Council represents village interests for services that affect the residents. We are responsible for some village assets which includes the playground and football pitch. We find funding to improve and maintain those facilities and services to ensure that they are safe for residents. (This is not a statutory duty) We have input into village issues, such as housing, planning, education support, village hall, playground and sports and leisure facilities. We interact with our local district and county council members to improve safety on roads, byways, and discuss transport.
