Recipient Org: Description | As provided by our constitution, the purposes of the choir is (1) to provide regular choir rehearsals for the local community, and (2) to perform at concerts and events. Our aim and objective is to provide enjoyment, help and therapy through singing. Singing can reach out to people in a way that nothing else can. Singing helps with feelings of loneliness, anger, frustration, and depression. It promotes well-being and a feeling of social inclusivity. It is one of the happiest things for anybody to be involved in. We are a choir for the community and welcome anybody who would like to sing with us. We do not audition and we are open to all, regardless of race, religious beliefs or sexual orientation. |
