Recipient Org: Charity Number 1000241
Recipient Org: Description The charity has worked with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and communities for the last 27 years in the midlands area. It has focussed on these groups since its inception. It provides structured opportunities for self development and maturation through programmes designed to involve them in community work within their own neighbourhoods with the aim of improving the quality of life for all. The current project involves young people helping residents of Drayton Court Residential Home, Camp Hill, Nuneaton by giving up at least two hours of their Saturdays, together with time during holiday periods. Working with older people can be very challenging, but their involvement has had a very positive impact on the ambience within the home, which has been recognised by staff working at the home.
