As an organisation, HoB CSPAN help sports clubs, youth groups, friends of groups, community organisations and more in developing themselves and encouraging the creation of sustainable groups. Services offered including: • advertising, • holiday programmes, • sports development, • bid writing, • event organisation, • governance, etc. In addition, recently HoB CSPAN and the Community Outreach team have assisted in: • the development of groups/clubs social media, • websites • use of various forms of IT (phones, computers, cameras) to help develop their club/organisation. Serving some of the poorest wards in Birmingham where BME percentages are high and levels of physical activity are low, HoB CSPAN endeavour to bring the communities together by the means of using sport as a driving tool. In recent years we have distributed grants to our members including 3 years of Community Sport Activation Fund (CSAF) at £20,000 per year as well as a previous Youth Activation Fund (YAF) from 2011 to 2015. Now in the final year of the CSAF, HoB CSPAN are looking to engage with it’s members through additional means including hosting of workshops to help employment, organise and host coaching sessions and continue the Outreach Programme to develop the sporting and social community. |
