Recipient Org: Description | We deliver an annual festival, which is underpinned by the education work we do with NEETS young people 18-30 and primary school aged children. We deliver specially commissioned pieces, mostly outdoors, including events and performances, and we are currently developing a new strand of community work. Our aim is to make arts accessible to everyone - we do this through a framework of STEM to STEAM work, developing the national curriculum to include arts, working with primary schools on the Imagineerium Initiative. We work with NEETS young people aged 18 to 30 to create pathways into the creative industry, whilst developing key skills such as self-confidence, self-esteem and teamwork through a creative commission to produce a real world event. All of this work feeds into our festival, the Festival of Imagineers, which celebrates the interface between arts and engineering, delivering an excellent programme of produced work, bringing artists and community together to work on large scale outdoor events and performances. |
