Recipient Org: Description The Imagine Group is a drop in centre for people experiencing depression and other Mental Health problems, all are welcome to come along for a friendly chat. Tea and coffee are served throughout the afternoon. Occasional Bingo, films, games, craft activities and day trips are organised for each meeting throughout the year. We are just starting into planning for the coming year for day trips these are looked forward to by our members. The Imagine group is a self funded not for profit organization & this has in some way saved it in recent years due to not being fully reliant on NHS funded. Sadly our services are required more and more due to the state of the country and because no other of our type of group exists in the surrounding area - meaning that people are travelling long distances. To put members (people living with a mental health condition) mind at rest we are there for each other. If anyone wants to have a private word that can be accommodated and the group will also help members to identify where you can get help. If anyone thinks we all sit round discussing our problems this is far from the truth as we have many games, craft, activities and trips that our members can do and we are always open to suggestions. All people living with depression or any mental health condition are welcome but the group has a Zero tolerance regarding violence and drugs. We had met at St Matthew's Great Barr but due to a need to charge high rent we now meet on a Monday 1 - 5 pm and Friday 12 - 3 pm at New Heights / Christ The King, The Guild Room, 124 Warren Farm Road. New Heights is committed to supporting us.
