Recipient Org: Description St Martin's Social Care Project is a community project based at St Martin's Church, Perry Common, Birmingham. We are a charity, set up in 1972, offering older adults the opportunity to stay connected, active and happy. This is achieved with our team of dedicated volunteers who help to organise and run tea dances, trips, film afternoons, lunch club, men's group and more. We pride ourselves in partnership working to ensure that we are complementing existing local services and not competing with them, making the best use of available resources. Inspired by our Christian values, our team ensures that what we do is community led with lots of laughter along the way to help people feel welcome, leading to feelings of improved confidence and connectivity amongst it's participants.
