Recipient Org: Description To promoting the physical and mental health and well-being of Kingstanding residents. To educate and support local people in learning about planting and horticulture. To preservation and maintenance of Allotment Site To offer a range of workshops and community events relating sustainability skills, preserving, cooking, nutrition, foraging and harvesting and enterprise. To offer a range of social events and actives which are accessible to all residents including those who are vulnerable and isolated. We currently have 1 part-time member of staff funded by The Big Lottery. We have a bank of 32 volunteers who tend 5 allotment plots; the produce is then taken home and donated to the local community.
