The Groundwork team is made up of several separate teams with different but shared priorities; Communities, Green Doctors, Landscape, Park Rangers, and education and skills. The Groundwork communities team deliver projects to support communities and individuals including healthy holiday programmes to reduce holiday hunger and food poverty, play programmes to promote healthy lifestyles, social prescribing projects to improve older people's health and well-being, work with school children to create wildlife areas in their school or community setting, projects to reduce anti-social behaviour in parks and on waterways, projects with people who have learning disabilities, environment projects to promote safer and increased use of green spaces and run a youth volunteering programme to engage young people in volunteering.
