Recipient Org: Description DGNS is a community service staffed entirely by local volunteers that offers help and support to elderly, isolated and vulnerable people in the Didcot area. Our volunteers, who are all DBS checked, visit clients in their own homes to assist with tasks that they find challenging. We take clients shopping and to local events like lunch clubs or the garden centre. We can also accompany them to chiropody or dental appointments. One of the most important services we provide is regular befriending. Many isolated people just need a friendly face who visits for a chat and a cup of tea.
