Clifton Friendship Project Outreach (360G-PeoplesHealthTrust-2021_58)

£36,380
Recipient Organization

This two-year project in and around the Clifton Estate in Nottingham supports older people to tackle isolation, maintain contact and develop friendships both face to face and online. Participants are encouraged to join the Monday and Friday friendship groups to play bingo, organise activities and trips, and make new friends. These weekly groups are supplemented with telephone, text and Zoom chats, as well as home visits for those unable to attend due to illness, mobility issues, or mental health conditions. Participants helped to develop the original idea and are able to shape the project as it runs.
