Recipient Org: Description BF provides a high quality, professional psychotherapy and counselling service for individuals, children and families. The key aims are to: - Provide counselling and psychotherapy services to those who would not easily have access to them. - Encourage understanding of the emotional barriers to healthy living, through consultation with professionals and organisations working with emotional vulnerability - Demonstrate the effectiveness of the service through monitoring and evaluation, to inform and educate policy and service development - Contribute to public understanding through training and public conferences on emotional aspects of individual, organisational and social health. There are two main strand to the work: a fee- paying service and a free to service user, mental health service called Bridge in Schools (BIS), funded by contracts with schools and voluntary donations. BIS is our core charitable work. This year Bristol schools face real term budget cuts of between 10-15% of total budget, in addition to other pressures - growing pupil numbers and increasing mental health challenges in schools are resulting in a growing need for our work.
