Recipient Org: Description | We are part of the Little Acorn Trust (LAT) who are a Multi Academy Trust based at Four Acres Academy, who are responsible for Four Acres Academy, Four Acres Children's Centre and Bishopsworth Children's Centre. Presently the LAT has no independent income. The aims and objectives of the LAT are: 1) Develop schools which provide full or part-time education for children of compulsory school age (4-11) and provision for pupils which Special Educational Needs 2. Provide childcare facilities which support physical, intellectual and social development of primary children under the age of five and adult training to develop capacity and skills of parents-to-be and parents, especially the socially or economically disadvantaged. 3. Relieve poverty of residents to increase their capacity and skills e.g. through employment support, health improvement and fuller participation in society. 4. Provide recreational and leisure facilities which contribute to social welfare for those most in need. It provides a primary academy with nursery and daycare and family support services in Withywood and Bishopsworth. The Academy's aims are:to enable our children to: develop their knowledge and skills, grow in resourcefulness and resilience, go forward able to learn and achieve and live happily in and contribute to our global society. |
