Recipient Org: Description We help disadvantaged people manage life-changing situations including debt, homelessness and relationship breakdown. We do this by providing free and independent practical advice with the aim of improving the long-term economic and social well-being South Gloucestershire’s communities. Most of our beneficiaries are from vulnerable groups including older people (45%), those with disabilities or longer-term health conditions (42%) and those living in poverty (23%). We run ten drop-in sessions every week as well as specialist appointments from six locations across South Gloucestershire. Most of these are in the county’s most disadvantaged areas and priority neighbourhoods. We also run a telephone advice-line service 5 days per week so that less mobile or rurally isolated beneficiaries can access our service.
