Recipient Org: Description Our mission is to reduce food poverty in Bristol and the South West through combating food waste. We take fresh, in date surplus food from the food industry and redistribute it to over 150 charities, schools and community groups in Bristol and across the South West. Our members in turn transform the food into nutritious meals for vulnerable people. This allows recipients to save money on food bills which they can re-channel into provision of other vital services. Beneficiaries enjoy healthy meals they would not otherwise have had in a safe and supportive community, thus helping tackle social isolation in the process. Internally, we aim to upskill and support FareShare South West volunteers, some of whom are vulnerable themselves.
