Recipient Org: Description Our main focus for outcomes is that we make a difference to the residents of Southward by addressing the disadvantages they face, supporting the community to break through many barriers to participation and hopefully changing their lives for the better. We, as residents of this deprived social housing area know most of the community and talk to them about their needs and what they would like to see set up for them to participate in. The lack of employment opportunities affects not only the adults but the children in many families too. It has a knock-on effect on income and how a family as a whole survives. Many of the children and young adults are socially excluded from groups and settings because of their economical situations and postcode. We believe every child has a need and we hope to equip them with life tools to make positive changes and informed decisions in their own lives. There are a lot of elderly residents in our community who are vulnerable and without family to support them they have become very isolated. Our charity provide opportunities for them to become socially included and we aim to be their for the whole community.
