Recipient Org: Description | A football club that aims to provide physical, mental & social rehabilitation and improve physical, mental & social wellbeing. We aim to remove barriers, whether physical, financial or social to allow inclusion and give access to all. The club also aims to promote individual development by supporting and encouraging participants to assist in the facilitation of sessions and ultimately become coaches and run sessions themselves and therefore put back into the community. This approach is true for both young and older players so a 16 year old on a community football program could become a coach and run sessions locally as could a 65 year old walking footballer. The club aims to make the community a better place to live so our community football program aims to reduce ASB and present young people in a positive light, our walking football program aims to keep people fit and provide a social outlet and reduce isolation and our disability program aims to demonstrate that there are no barriers to participation. |
