Recipient Org: Description The project works with and for local communities and householders to enable warmer homes and a cooler planet. By training surveyors from the community, and using specially-developed, innovative, low-cost, thermal imaging survey techniques, we reveal precisely where domestic heat is lost, enabling cost-effective remedies. We effectively engage and empower householders and landlords to reduce domestic energy/heating losses. Approximately a third of surveys are conducted free for low-income households - improving comfort and health, and helping to alleviate fuel poverty. Owner-occupied properties are also targeted to reduce their larger carbon emissions. The project has the potential to be replicated city-wide.
