Recipient Org: Description | Jacobs Wells Community Hub was set up by local residents to: - Empower the local community and enable change - Enhance wellbeing and tackle social isolation - Establish a vibrant community centre that’s open to everyone - Foster learning and creativity - Celebrate our rich local history We are currently offering a range of community activities in Jacob’s Wells, Bristol. This densely populated and complex area does not have the benefit of a Community Development Officer or a befriending service, and the Jacobs Wells Community Hub exists to fill this gap. We are active in local neighbourhood networks and provide a range of activities including weekly craft sessions in our Hub Space at Jacobs Wells Baths, a childrens’ chess club and Tai Chi (suitable for everyone including people with physical difficulties). We also organise seasonal and pop up events like trips, bat watches, singing and free outdoor and indoor parties. |
