Recipient Org: Description EACH as a charity promotes affirmative representations of LGBT lives: advancing education regarding the discrimination people face due to sexual orientation or gender identity. We provide support and consultancy to statutory and voluntary sector organisations, aiming to increase awareness and inspire best practice creating safer, caring and inclusive environments for all. Based in the heart of the Quartet area in Bristol, EACH also supports those experiencing homophobic, biphobic or transphobic harassment or bullying. We regularly work in partnership with the Department for Education, Police, CPS, MOD, NHS plus voluntary and public sector organisations including the National Children’s Bureau, Ofsted plus national and local ‘wraparound’ agencies. EACH provides training and resources to educate and inspire confidence regarding the complex and sensitive issues of sexuality and gender identity. Moreover, we provide a Freephone national Helpline (telephone and online) for young people (and adults when funding permits) facing issues concerning their emerging sexual orientation or gender identity or those facing homophobic, biphobic or transphobic bullying or harassment. Our service allows EACH to stay informed, monitor incidents, signpost to appropriate local agencies, provide immediate guidance in the interim and deliver evidence to bodies who need to know how LGBT+ people are faring in society.
