Recipient Org: Description | The TRC exists to help children and young people recover from trauma; defined as an experience which is overwhelming and causes terror and powerlessness. At the TRC we facilitate recovery for children and young people by helping them to process the trauma experience, and support them as they piece their lives back together until a wholeness can be found. We are a charity that provides creative, play and art therapy, and creative counselling to children and their parents or carers. We also provide training in the recovery from trauma and abuse to charities and organizations working with children and adults. We want to help children process what is going on in their world, help them find their voice, and give them the time and space to work out what they are feeling and why, so they can be empowered into a positive, bright future. |
