Recipient Org: Charity Number XN22586
Recipient Org: Description South Barrow is without a school, shop, post office or pub. St Peter's Church is the only public building but in sharing a priest-in-charge with five other villages has only 16 services a year. With two of the small congregation in their 90's and only one below 60 their is a definite risk that falling numbers will lead to the closure of the church. The PCC has gained permission to remove the pews and install a loo and kitchen so as to open up use of the building by the wider community. Several organisations have indicated their interest in using these3 facilities.
