Recipient Org: Description The Charity’s objects are to promote charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in North Taunton and in particular the advancement of education, the promotion of health and the relief of poverty, sickness and distress. We are a community centre serving residents in this deprived area of North Taunton, we provide daily advice surgeries, a cafe style drop in for tea and coffee Monday to Friday 9.30am to 12.30pm and daily social, health and educational groups and activities as well as our school holiday programme of activities for families. We are the hub of the community with residents accessing our facilities before going else where, we are a trusted and valued centre within the area with the aim to combat social isolation and loneliness and to bring families and communities together. We aim to provide a morning cafe style tea/coffee facility Monday to Friday, weekly scrabble club, weekly computer support group, weekly tai chi class, weekly luncheon club, monthly speaker led group, monthly discussion group and a monthly cooking group
