WRAP will help businesses, civil society organisations, local authorities and consumers achieve savings through the better use of materials, the production of less waste and better use of energy and water which will also be environmentally beneficial. WRAP Will Deliver on six themes in support of Defra's policy priorities; • Waste and Resource Management: to improve recycling rates as well as the quality of recycling. • Food and Drink: Continue the work of Courtauld 2025 to tackle both household and supply chain food waste, encouraging greater food redistribution. • Plastic: support the policy priority of tackling the environmental impact of plastic waste, including reducing its use where it’s not easily recyclable, and increasing its recycling and reprocessing back into valuable materials for the economy. • Clothing: continue to work with UK industry via its Sustainable Clothing Action Plan (SCAP) towards the ambitious 2020 goals. • Policy Support: provide analysis and insight to support policy development and implementation. • Financial Mechanisms: WRAP operate several financial mechanisms which remove market barriers related to key policy priorities. 1 month extension till end of April 2020 in order to monitor the milestones due 31 March 2020.
