The Red Squirrel Trust aims to increase awareness of the red squirrel, their habitat and the flora and fauna that they share it with. With a Lottery award this new trust will produce a newsletter aimed at encouraging children to learn about the species. It is hoped that the newsletter will generate enough support to form a conservation action group for children to learn about monitoring the squirrels, putting up feeders and making bird boxes. An award will pay for start up costs, tutors and equipment.
