Tir Coed will run an innovative 12 week Volunteering in the Natural Environment pilot project in the Heads of the Valleys area. The pilot will encourage vulnerable and disadvantaged groups to value the countryside and natural environment, offering training opportunities that will develop their social and vocational skills whilst providing an improved resource for community use. This grant for £4,996 will fund sessional tutor costs, travel expenses, accreditation, equipment and refreshments.
