The idea is to conduct a feasibility study into the design of a viable structure for a community investment fund which would enable the local community to invest in and consequently share in the revenues from renewable energy projects on Islay/in seas around Islay. The grant will pay for consultants to produce a study which will be used to invite interest from potential investors/funders, lobby for policy/regulatory support and to consult locally on Islay.
