The 'Making Local Food Work' programme will educate people about food and their health. It will increase access to locally-grown, regional and organic food with clear origins, through farmer's markets, community-owned village shops, food cooperatives and local food centres. The programme will use community and social enterprise approaches to link consumers and producers in the local food-related third sector.
