This new project will develop a comprehensive support network across Oldham to help new arrivals settle into the community. The project provides a single point of contact to reduce the health and social inequalities experienced by migrants, whilst promoting community cohesion. The project will engage local residents with experience of migration and train them to become community volunteers, assisting with translation, providing friendship and offering support to help new arrivals settle into the area.
