Recipient Org: Description St Mary's Centre Community trust's objectives are to relieve the effects of poverty in particular amoung young people and children, to advance the education and welfare of the participants in particular those who are at risk of social exclusion and toprovide recreational activities in the interests of strengthening community. The centre runs Youth projects for young people at risk ofsocial exclusion or crime, they provide individual-focused 1:1 support for young people with regular mentoring. They work with individuals who have had contact with the police, are absent from school, involved in gangs or who are in prison. In 2016 the centre worked with 236 young people aged 6 - 25, they supported 4 young people to apply to university, they ran gang intervention workshops and assisted 28 NEET young people to gain employment and get back into education, they provided mentoring and support to over 100 young people.
