The funding will be used to deliver performing arts and mentoring activities for older people with mental health problems. This will use the arts as a vehicle to enable older people to engage with and access positive social activities, improving their self-esteem and mental wellbeing.
O.A.Ps On The Move - 7 18 Mar 2017
Trebanos OAP Association in Neath Port Talbot will use the grant to take their members on a series of trips to places of interest to help reduce social isolation. This grant for Â£2,820 will fund travel, tickets and meals.
The funding will be used by a school to install a gazebo to act as a hub for the local youth club and also for their gardening club. The project aims to provide the community with a safe place to come together to learn new skills and socialise whilst also gaining knowledge on the benefits of a healthy diet through the gardening club.

The funding will be used by a primary school to create an early years play area within its grounds. The project aims to engage children stimulating, creative physical activity and allow the school to offer a range of new outdoor extra-curricular activities.

The funding will be used by a voluntary organisation to repair their outdoor site and lay artificial grass. This will provide the scouts with an outdoor area that can be used all year round.
Leeds Poverty Truth Commission 10 Mar 2017
The group aims to change the culture of how Leeds responds to poverty in the city by better understanding the root causes and effects of poverty. The project will actively engage people with direct experience of poverty to take a lead in decision-making, helping to develop and shape strategies aimed at poverty reduction. They will meet on a regular basis and create a space for people to tell their stories, providing opportunities for those making and influencing decisions to engage more with one another.

This project will use funding to provide accredited ESOL, ICT and employment training for people from the BME community. This will enable people to gain a range of transferrable skills and improve their employment opportunities.
Alcohol Recovery Community (ARC) 27 Jan 2017
The project aims to offer hope, choice and opportunity for people who are recovering from problematic drinking. It will support people who have started or stopped drinking to make individual changes to their drinking habits and are seeking to make long term changes to their health and wellbeing. Funding will be used to introduce new support methods such as coaching, telephone peer support and city-wide events.
SCOUT HQ EXTERNAL LANDSCAPING PROJECT 08 Feb 2017
The funding will be used by this charity to landscape part of the grounds at their headquarters which serves Scouts and other community groups. This will improve the facility, making it safer and allowing it to be used by more people.

This group based on the Isle of Harris support a network of youth clubs throughout Lewis and Harris, run a residential outdoor centre, and provides a range of activities for local youth and adults. The funding will be used to redevelop an area in front of the centre.
Vintage Volunteering - Improving with Age 25 Jan 2017
The project will engage older people aged 60 and over in flexible volunteering opportunities, while challenging negative perceptions of ageing. The project will encourage participation in life and society to address loneliness and isolation, which can leave older people at risk of depression, physical illness, and disengaged from their communities. The group will recruit a total of 40 â€˜Volunteer Championsâ€™ who are already active within their community, to help promote the project.
Thanet Community Support Partnership (TCSP) 25 Jan 2017
This group will continue to develop its work to reduce social isolation in older people by offering a variety of services, enabling older people to remain independent in their own homes. The group will provide a variety of activities, including a volunteer befriending scheme, social events and transport for the least mobile and most socially isolated.
The funding will be used by a primary school to develop a community programme of activities and events to encourage people to be physically active and spend more time outdoors. The programme aims to tackle poor fitness levels and obesity and will help families in the local community maintain good physical and mental health.
It's OK to Help in Shadwell: 2017 08 Feb 2017
This project will recruit and train volunteers, as well as update their website to emphasise safeguarding practices and promote volunteering. This will allow the group to provide activities for more people.
Musical and technology equipment will be purchased so the group can expand the services they provide. This will help to provide musical skills sessions for people with learning disabilities.
