The group, based in Portadown, provides young people with learning disabilities with employment training for the hospitality industry. The £9,480 grant is being used to provide four 10-week basic essentials cooking courses for young people to encourage independent living.

Moyraverty 50 plus group 30 Jan 2017

The group, based in Moyraverty near Craigavon, provides a wide range of activities for people over the age of 50 to reduce social isolation and improve wellbeing. The three-year project is using a £33,030 grant to run activities to improve the health and wellbeing of its members, including day trips, tea dances, a walking group, and a Christmas dinner. They will also organise intergenerational residentials with young people from Brownlow Youth Project.

St Patrick's PS Derrynaseer - iPads 02 Feb 2017

The school in Derrynaseer, Craigavon is using the £9,969 grant to buy iPads, a screen and projector and a wireless internet access point for use by pupils. This will allow pupils to take part in extra-curricular digital media projects, including documenting a local archaeological dig which will then be shared with the wider community.
