Moyraverty 50 plus group
The group, based in Moyraverty near Craigavon, provides a wide range of activities for people over the age of 50 to reduce social isolation and improve wellbeing. The three-year project is using a £33,030 grant to run activities to improve the health and wellbeing of its members, including day trips, tea dances, a walking group, and a Christmas dinner. They will also organise intergenerational residentials with young people from Brownlow Youth Project.
Whitehall and District Womens Institute
The Co. Armagh group provides seminars and workshops for members in Whitehall, Aghagallon, and the surrounding area. The project is using the £3,040 grant to celebrate their 30 year anniversary with a dinner, floral class, and Lord of the Dance show.
Thursday Club On Tour
The club provides a weekly social and recreational activities in Banbridge Leisure Centre for older people. The £4,207 grant is being used to hire the leisure centre for activities and to take members on four day trips to the Glens of Antrim, Mount Stewart, Ulster Museum and Titanic Museum.
