Moyraverty 50 plus group 30 Jan 2017
The group, based in Moyraverty near Craigavon, provides a wide range of activities for people over the age of 50 to reduce social isolation and improve wellbeing. The three-year project is using a Â£33,030 grant to run activities to improve the health and wellbeing of its members, including day trips, tea dances, a walking group, and a Christmas dinner. They will also organise intergenerational residentials with young people from Brownlow Youth Project.
The funding will be used to conduct a survey in the local community about values and feelings relating to community cohesion. The project aims to support the creation of communication materials that will be used by businesses and voluntary organisations to better understand local needs and values.
The club develops physical, mental and social skills for young people in Lurgan through sporting activities. The project is using the Â£9,600 grant to deliver activities to celebrate the groupâ€™s 25th anniversary.
Y-Gegin Fach Cafe Training Project 02 Feb 2017
Beacons Creative (Wales) Ltd in Brecon will use the grant to hire a sessional trainer for one day a week to provide employment training to people with learning disabilities at the organisationâ€™s Y-Gegin Fach CafÃ©. This grant for Â£4,000 will fund a sessional trainer and training materials.

The organisation provides activities for older people in the Kilmore, Mullavilly and Tandragee area of Armagh. They are using the Â£9,980 grant to provide more activities to improve health and well-being and reduce isolation. Activities include exercise sessions, social outings, talks, and craft classes.

Llanbadarn Fawr and District Community Centre Association in Powys will use the grant to renovate the hall which is required due to damage caused by rain water. This grant for Â£5,000 will fund roof repairs, floor refurbishment, guttering, ceilings, a fire door, redecoration costs, a ramp, and installation costs.
St Patrick's PS Derrynaseer - iPads 02 Feb 2017
The school in Derrynaseer, Craigavon is using the Â£9,969 grant to buy iPads, a screen and projector and a wireless internet access point for use by pupils. This will allow pupils to take part in extra-curricular digital media projects, including documenting a local archaeological dig which will then be shared with the wider community.

The Co. Armagh group provides seminars and workshops for members in Whitehall, Aghagallon, and the surrounding area. The project is using the Â£3,040 grant to celebrate their 30 year anniversary with a dinner, floral class, and Lord of the Dance show.
Brecon Bowling Club Limited will use the grant to purchase new equipment to improve the grounds for the intergenerational activities and coaching they offer to members and the local community. This grant for Â£5,000 will fund a turf aerator.

This is a project by a group based in Folkestone serving people in Middlesbrough and Welshpool. The organisation will use the funding to create new participatory singing groups in care homes and community centres in new areas of the country. This will enable the organisation to better tackle issues such as isolation and loneliness amongst older people.

The group, based in Portadown, provides young people with learning disabilities with employment training for the hospitality industry. The Â£9,480 grant is being used to provide four 10-week basic essentials cooking courses for young people to encourage independent living.
