West Armagh Consortium is working with eight community groups on the three-year West Armagh Community Support and Development Project. They are using a £196,801 grant to employ a manager to coordinate a joint activity programme with all the groups including action planning workshops, a volunteer programme, health and wellbeing activities, a youth programme, older people’s activities and intercultural events. The project has been designed and developed by local people involved with each of the groups.
Migrant Support Project 26 Oct 2017
The three-year Migrant Support project is supporting Portuguese and Romanian speaking migrants in the Portadown area. The project is helping them overcome communication barriers, gain access to services, and meet other people. The project is using a £132,872 grant to provide information and advice, train volunteers and staff, produce material in several languages, develop their social media and website, and provide employment training.
RUR: Hay Castle Community Hub 25 Jul 2017
Project Summary : Hay Castle Trust will reduce isolation for 50 community members and improve the skills of 250 residents and visitors in Hay on Wye. The project will provide staff and volunteers to deliver talks, workshops and educational activities to bring people together and encourage learning and creativity. What Money is for : The grant over two years will part fund staff salaries, and material costs plus website expenses. .

Through personal development, community engagement and work readiness programmes this youth intervention project will support marginalised young people, building relationships and encouraging engagement in education and training.
This project will provide emotional support to young people affected by mental health issues. Through a programme of group work and team building activities it will improve life skills, teach coping mechanisms and offer a safe place for making friends.
Grant to Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre 14 Jun 2017
This project will provide community support to children and young people affected by domestic abuse. They will be more able to keep themselves safe, increase their self-esteem, and be better able to manage their feelings.
