The Royal British Legion North West Norfolk branch will use their award to hold a range of activities to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the end of the War. These activities will involve a street party, 1940s style Tea Dance, 1940s Big Band Dance, Parade and a Commemorative service.

The Mordens Branch of the Royal British Legion will use a grant to hold a joint event with the 335th Fighter Group Association to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of VE Day. The programme of events will include a Service of Thanksgiving and wreath-laying ceremony to be concluded with a 'Hog Roast' and fireworks in the evening. This will be attended by a broad array of people- including veterans from Britain and the United States, alongside the other members of the local community.

The Buckhurst Hill Branch of The Royal British Legion will use a grant to fund two events aimed at commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the end of WW2. This will include a day of remembrance to be followed by a street party, alongside the rededication of the local war memorial.
The Norfolk County Branch of the Royal British Legion will use their award to hold a service to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two. A military parade will include members of the Armed Forces, ex-Service organisations with their standards as well as youth organisations. A reception will be held after the parade for all involved.

The Ipswich Branch of the Royal British Legion have been awarded a grant to hold a commemorative event to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two. A service and parade will be held which will be followed by a reception with a wartime film and memorabilia exhibition on display.

The Bedford Branch of the Royal British Legion will be staging two events to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the ending of World War Two. A church service will be held which will be followed be a reception for all veterans. The second event will be a parade, followed by a wartime memorabilia exhibition and display. Reunion corners will be set up so that Old Comrades can meet again. Entertainment with a 1940's style will also be provided.
CSV Vocal Project 15 Aug 2012
This grant will expand the volunteer project for people with learning disabilities into new parts of the county, offering a programme of training, volunteering and supported employment using community mentors. Called the Vocal Project, participants work with community volunteers who help them to access training and social events. As their confidence around people and skills develop, they will then gradually move into volunteering placements either in a group or an individual setting._x000B_

The funding will support a project that aims to provide targeted and intensive employment support for young people, who are long-term unemployed or economically inactive, to gain and sustain employment and education. This will be achieved through an intensive, individualised programme including one-to-one and group support with a focus on personal development as well as education and employment.

There will be a focus on three localities including Kirkley, Harbour and Kessingland to mobilise communities, and bring about change through a co-produced approach.

The organisation will use the funding to carry out a pilot project with 15 local organisations in identifying and measuring social impact and develop a best practice model for the voluntary and community sector. This will enable the group to carry an up to date and relevant piece of research into current community activities and their impact, and provide local groups with feedback on how to improve impact as well as creating a model of best practice for all local advisory and support bodies.

Community Service Volunteers (CSV) Media in Cambridge has been awarded a grant to enable them to carry out a range of activities as part of their commemoration and celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the end of WW2. The project will include original BBC 1940's style radio equipment to broadcast archive audio material, where the children will be allowed to read them and make up their own editions to be recorded to take home.

The Overstrand and Sidestrand Womens Section of the Royal British Legion will use an award to host a WW2 themed children's street party. This will include an exhibition of wartime memorabilia and photographs and a memorial service at the local church.
Sudbury at War - a living memorial 24 Nov 2006
Sudbury Royal British legion will use the award to create a permanent display in the town's new heritage centre, in memory of those who fought during the two World Wars. This will include people from the local town, and from overseas forces who were based in the area during the wars.
